What is flat printing?

Flat printing is an innovative digital print process that produces a card that is smooth to the touch. Our flat-printed cards are our most versatile product, available in two paper types and thicknesses:

  • Flat-printed cards are available on our Matte paper, which is a 120-pound card stock that comes in standard thickness (16-point) and double-thickness (32-point) with an eggshell finish and a soft cotton-like feel.
  • Photo cards are available on our Matte paper in both standard and double-thick, as well as our Satin paper, which is a 130-pound card stock and only comes in standard thickness (16-point) with a satin finish.
  • Folded cards are only available on our standard thick (16-point) Matte paper, or if the design includes a photo, our standard thick (16-point) Satin paper.

Included in our flat-printed collection are foil-stamped cards, which are a great option for those looking to include a gold, silver, or rose gold effect on their cards along with flat-printed text, without using fine printing methods, which take longer to produce and usually have a higher cost due to their unique production process.

  • Foil-printed cards are only available on our standard thick (16-point) Matte paper, or if the design includes a photo, our standard thick (16-point) Satin paper.
