How do I follow-up with my guests/remind them to RSVP?

There are a couple of ways you can send follow-up messages/reminders to your guests/recipients from your Tracking page. To get there:

  1. Hover over your name at the top right corner of the Paperless Post homepage and choose Post Box when the menu appears.
  2. Under Sent & Scheduled, find your invite and click on “Track” from the Action menu to the right.
  3. On your Tracking page, click on the black "Follow-Up" button towards the bottom left of your guest list.

 

For non-RSVP events, you can:

  1. Check the boxes next to the statuses (Opened, Unopened) you want to contact.
  2. Compose your message. You can also choose to edit the host and/or event name if you wish. The message your guests will receive will also contain a link back to the card in case they need to access it again.
  3. Feel free to send yourself a test message by clicking on "Send me a test". Otherwise, you can either click “Send Now” at the bottom of the page once you’re ready to send your message.

 

For RSVP events, you can:

SCHEDULE AN AUTO-REMINDER

  1. From the drop down menu, select "Schedule an auto-reminder".
  2. Check the boxes next to the statuses (Attending, Regrets, Not yet replied) you want to send your reminder to.
  3. Update the host/event/message information if you wish. The reminder will automatically include a link back to your card for your guests to easily view again if they need to.
  4. Feel free to send yourself a test message by clicking on "Send me a test". Otherwise, enter a date and time below the message field then click “Schedule Sending” if you want the reminder to go out at a later time.
  5. Click “Cancel Schedule” if you’d like to send the reminder out right away.

REMIND GUESTS TO RSVP

  1. From the drop down menu, select "Remind guests to RSVP".
  2. Check the boxes next to the statuses (Attending, Regrets, Not yet replied) you want to message.
  3. Update the host/event/message information if you wish. The reminder your guests will receive will have RSVP buttons, and will also contain a link back to the card in case they need to access it again.
  4. Feel free to send yourself a test message by clicking on "Send me a test". Otherwise, you can either click “Send Now” at the bottom of the page once you’re ready to send your message.

SEND A FOLLOW-UP MESSAGE

  1. From the drop down menu, select "Follow up with your guests".
  2. Check the boxes next to the statuses (Attending, Regrets, Not yet replied) you want to message.
  3. Compose your message. You can also choose to edit the host and/or event name if you wish. The message your guests will receive will have RSVP buttons, and will also contain a link back to the card in case they need to access it again.
  4. Feel free to send yourself a test message by clicking on "Send me a test". Otherwise, you can either click “Send Now” at the bottom of the page once you’re ready to send your message.

 

Will my reminders and messages be personalized?

Your recipients will receive personalized versions of all of your reminders, follow up messages, and RSVP requests.  When you send yourself a test preview of any of the follow up messages, you will receive a non-conditional, non-personalized email.

For RSVP events, your recipients will see their current RSVP status in the follow up email.  If they have not yet submitted an RSVP, they will see “Will Attend/Will Not Attend” options in their email, but any guests who have already submitted an RSVP will see “Your Reply: Attending/Regrets,” depending on their response.

The messages/reminders will contain links back to your recipients’ cards so they can easily access them and update their replies if necessary.  

 

Can I send follow up messages and reminders from mobile web?

You can send individual messages to specific guests from mobile web. To do this: tap on the card from the Sent section, and then tap the Track button in the top right and tap on a guest. It will open the message field.

If you need to send a mass message or reminder to everyone, you can switch to the “full website” version to access the card from the Post Box and go to Tracking.

 

Can I message my guests/recipients individually?

You can send messages to your recipients individually (and they can message you too!). On your Tracking page, click “Messages” at the top.  This will bring you to your messaging tool.  You will then be able to enter the name of the guest you wish to message.

After you send your message, it will always appear on this page for you to reference in the future.
