We’ve started a migration from our Legacy V1 Card platform to our new V2 Card platform designed to support the next generation of invitations. The traditional look and feel of our online invitations (and envelopes!) is the same — we've just given the supporting infrastructure an upgrade.
The first big change allows you to send Cards directly through our site as a text message to phone numbers based in US States and Canadian Provinces. We've also added the option to create a shareable link to any V2 Card design that can be texted to international numbers or shared via social media.
Additional changes on the new platform include the ability to upload your own stamp and backdrop, and modular Blocks that can be added under the card to include additional details, links, and images. Blocks have replaced the insert cards from our legacy designs.
Not all of our classic features are immediately available on the new platform, so if you notice a feature you rely on for your events is missing (like insert cards or cloning), please contact us. During this migration period, we can help create an event using the legacy platform with those features if you’d prefer.
We’d also love all feedback about the new experience if you’d like to share.
How do I know if I am designing a V1 Card, V2 Card, or Flyer?
Flyers have a different layout from cards — if the invitation is split into two distinct sections with editable text on the left and an animated image on the right, it is a Flyer.
If you are designing a Card, look for the V2 icon in the lower left corner of your page, as seen here. If you don't see V2, it's a V1 card!
