It's always a good idea to preview your Card or Flyer before sending to check for errors and to get an idea of what your recipients will see when they receive your mailing.
There are two ways to view a preview of your Card or Flyer to see how it will appear for your recipients: previewing while editing, and previewing when creating your guest list.
You can also send a free test email or text to yourself before sending the mailing to your recipients.
Please note that we do not currently have a way for you to preview your recipient names in Card previews, but your recipient names will appear exactly how you enter them in your list. Instead you will see the name saved to your own account or "Your guest's name will go here" when previewing your design.
Preview while editing
On the Create/Edit page for your Card or Flyer, you can select the Preview button with an eye icon at the top of the page:
This will allow you to see how your Card image, envelope animation, and event details will appear from either a desktop computer or a mobile device. If you are working on a computer, you can toggle the preview from desktop to mobile by clicking the phone and computer icons at the top of the page.
Preview in your email/text message inbox
After you finish customizing your design, click the blue button that reads Add guests or Done in the top right corner to progress to the Add guests page. (If you have guests entered, this button will instead read "View # unsent invites.") From the new page that opens, select Preview to see your design:
You can also toggle previews of how the mailing will appear as an email or as a text message.
Send a free test email or text
You can select the Send a free test option on your Invite Guests page to send yourself a free test preview to the email address or phone number associated with your account; on a mobile device, this option is nested under the Options menu at the top of your Add Guests page. These free tests can be viewed on a limited number of devices if you need to preview from multiple phones, tablets, or computers, or forward to others for review.
If you would like to forward the test to someone else you are collaborating with to review, we recommend adding them to the event as a co-host.
The Email/Text me a test option allows you to see how the email or text message your recipients receive will appear, as well as how the event page will look. You can also preview the RSVP experience by clicking Will attend or Will not attend. Please note that RSVP responses submitted from the preview page will not be recorded.
What is this Message Host/Message Sender button? Can I remove the speech bubble icon?
We always give your recipients the option to send you a message after receiving your mailing. This can show up in a few different ways:
- If you add a host name, there will be a clickable speech bubble below the host name
-
If you do not add a host name, that section will read:
- "Message Host" with a speech bubble if you are sending an invitation or Save the Date
- "Message Sender" with a speech bubble if you are sending an Announcement
- "Send a reply" if you are sending a greeting
While this isn't shown while designing your Card or Flyer, you will see this option when you open a free test email or text when previewing your mailing, as will your recipients when you send the mailing.
There is not a way to remove this reply option from your Card or Flyer, as we don't want to cut off communication between you and your guests once they open the mailing on our site.
