Paperless Post AI Guidelines
Paperless Post offers generative AI features within our Card and Flyer editing suites to allow instant image and text creation based on your prompts.
We are currently offer two features where you may use generative AI to help customize your invitation or greeting:
The use of the above AI tools is entirely optional. Additionally, Paperless Post does not share any user inputs or user data with third parties to help them train their models.
Please note that all Paperless Post designs, with the exception of those created using the Magic Art or Modify Artwork features, are designed by humans.
Additional AI Tools
We are beta testing an AI feature for some Cards and Flyers to help you create more quickly and efficiently on our mobile web or our app. This feature prompts you to answer a few simple questions about your event, then formats the text on your design automatically while maintaining the original design's layout. This text, including the wording and formatting, can be edited at any time after the initial placement is made.
Additionally, we utilize an AI feature that generates your event details based on the text on the front of your Card. After this information is generated, you can edit or change your event details at any time. Event details are only auto-generated once per event, so if you make changes to the Card design, you will need to update the details manually; they will not be regenerated. We encourage you to review your event's design and details before sending any mailing to ensure everything looks correct.
Like the rest of the features on our website, all use of onsite AI tools is subject to Paperless Post’s Terms of Service. Here’s a brief breakdown of how we are guiding responsible and safe generative AI content on our website:
Who can use these AI features?
As with the rest of our website, our AI tools should only be used by people aged 13 and up.
Generating safe and quality content
All content hosted on the Paperless Post website must follow the user conduct expectations that are outlined in our Terms of Service. To help keep things positive and inclusive, there are also guardrails in place to automatically prevent the generation of illegal or offensive content using our generative AI tools.
Attempting to generate content that violates our Terms can trigger an error message, or lead to a generic output.
Examples of themes that are not allowed are:
- Violence
- Hateful imagery
- Sexual or adult content
- Drug use
- Images of real people (especially celebrities or public figures)
- Images of anything copyrighted or trademarked (like movie characters, logos, or brand names)
AI means surprises
AI results might not always be perfect. Sometimes the image or text might not come out the way you imagined, or it may be incorrectly flagged as restricted content.
If a Magic Art image looks off, you can report it by using the thumbs down button under the image. When reporting an image, you can also include a brief description of what didn’t turn out correctly.
If you’re having other difficulties with any of our generative AI tools, or if you think a prompt was flagged as inappropriate by mistake, you can feel free to reach out to our support team.
Thank you for helping us continue to improve!
