Paperless Post invitations can be easily set to collect a headcount for multiple guests within a single invitation, or to allow optional +1s (or +2s or +7s!) for your event.
Already know which guests you'd like to invite?
If you already know the names of guests you're inviting within a group, you can use the add couple/family feature to specify the specific people who are invited and take RSVP for each person individually. Here is how it looks for the recipient when they are invited as a Couple/family recipient:
Otherwise, the Total Invited feature is probably the best fit for you — read on to learn how to set it up!
Setting up +1s
You can either set a blanket Total Invited number for all invitations that you will be sending, or customize the number for each group that you will be inviting.
Giving everyone the same +1 count
When setting up your invitation, you can toggle on the Allow guests to bring additional guests option and set the number of guests invited per group. This number includes the person who receives the invitation - for example, if you wanted to invite each guest with a +1, you would need to set the count to 2.
When using this option, the number you specify as your Total Invited per Invitation will be the default number applied to all guests on your list.
If you are also using the add couple/family feature to invite specific groups of guests, any pre-defined couple/family groups will be able to add additional guests to their group up to a total of 10. If you would prefer not to allow guest groups to add additional guests beyond what you've already defined, we recommend leaving "Allow guests to bring additional guests" off and instead customizing the Total Invited count per guest as shown in the next section.
If you are uploading a spreadsheet, you must also turn on the "Allow guests to bring additional guests" if you have are including a Total Invited column to easily import your recipient party size. The number you set up in this setting must match the largest party size on your spreadsheet (e.g. the largest party on my spreadsheet is a family of 6, so the setting must be set to minimum "6").
Customizing the +1 count per guest
If you are sending directly through our site, you can also adjust the Total Invited for individual invitations when setting up your guest list. From the Invite Guests page, you can make any adjustments to Total Invited for each guest entry before adding them to your list and sending:
How it looks for your guests
When a guest with +1s enabled RSVPs to an event, they will have the option to set the number of people attending in their group up to the maximum amount you set.
If the guest responds that they have at least one additional guest in their party, they can select "Let the host know who is coming" to add Names and Contacts for their additional guests:
If a guest provides contact information for additional guests in their group, you will be able to send them follow ups about the upcoming event at no additional cost. They will also be added to your Paperless Post address book so you can keep them in your network for future events.
