The Maximum Capacity is the total number of RSVPs that you can accept for your event. This option is useful if your event has limited space, or if you need to stop accepting new RSVPs by a certain date.
To set your event's maximum capacity:
1. Click "Details" on the left side of your invitation's Create/Edit page, or the bottom of the screen on mobile. (If you do not see the "Details" button, you may need to scroll down so that the text below the card is visible.)
2. From the panel that opens, ensure that Collect RSVPs is toggled on (blue).
3. From there, select the toggle next to Set maximum capacity. You can then enter the maximum number of RSVPs you would like to allow. Be sure to save any changes before closing the page!
When the maximum capacity has been reached, your guests will no longer be able to submit RSVPs. When they view the invitation they will see a message that says "Sorry, this event is at capacity and is no longer accepting responses" and they will no longer be able to submit their RSVP. Guests still have the option to reach out to you with a private message.
Can I set an RSVP-by date?
We don't have a way to automatically close RSVPs on a certain date, but you can add text to your invitation design or description section to let your guests know if you have a deadline for replies.
Alternatively, on the day that you wish to close RSVPs, you can also set a maximum capacity with the current total attending number to prevent additional recipients from RSVPing.
Can I have a waitlist after my invitation reaches its maximum capacity?
We do not have a way to add a waitlist to an invitation at this time — however, you can encourage respondents who miss the maximum capacity cutoff to send you a private message to reserve a spot.
